do you have alot of noise?
not that I notice
but my gain isn't turned up very high
but you remove this noise
30-50% usually
0,0 db?
I use a focusrite solo on mine so I don't control decibels
it's just purely a gain slider
when I used to do it on my windows I didn't change decibels either
I only used the microphone gain slider
anything like adding db I'd do in post if I needed to
the is no difference for me with using 50 and increasing this game same noise
how do you have it set up?
mic xlr female to male to power phantom xlr to jack and back to motherboard
and plugged phantom power directly to wall
like that change anything at all
yeah that sounds right, one sec
i buyed mic from here
they don't sell fakes of the bm-800 as far as I know
https://youtu.be/YlkiN62XsXE?t=136 I do a gain test here with 16v phantom power
there's a mod you can do to remove some of the hiss but it takes some experience with soldering
i don't even have equipment for that
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0lpQ0BpjUtg this guy shows the difference
if you know anybody who can do it, it's supposed to be simple
wait a sec im gonna try without phantom again
that's weird
noise is almost the same
and voice too
like phantom power didn't make any difference
im gonna record some sample
double check you've got it all wired in correctly and pushed in until everything clicks
Is 13 orders too low to risk getting something like this?
when im gonna turn off phantom power there is no sound
so it works probably but there is no difference in sound
yeah without phantom power the mic should be pretty much dead
nothing feeding it
