@fedora so what linux are you running, _fedora?_

2017-08-11 19:29:16 UTC

Hackintosh macos 10.12.06

2017-08-11 19:29:26 UTC

huh

2017-08-11 19:29:30 UTC

didn't expect that

2017-08-11 19:29:33 UTC

Fedora is fine os though

2017-08-11 19:32:56 UTC

If by what os you used to run before hackintosh answer would be arch meme

2017-08-11 19:40:12 UTC

bunsenlabs and antergos (xfce) here

2017-08-11 19:40:14 UTC

and windows

2017-08-11 19:42:45 UTC

Whats bunsenlabs?

2017-08-11 19:43:33 UTC

I've tried both manjaro and antergos as well as just a standard arch install and I've found arch anywhere to be by far the best. It takes all the work of building up a desktop from a base server/minimal install and gets it done in 10 minutes

2017-08-11 19:44:24 UTC

>whats bunsenlabs

2017-08-11 19:44:25 UTC

Meme

2017-08-11 19:44:42 UTC

bunsenlabs .. spiritual successor and probly one of the best communities since CrunchBang linux (debian+openbox+ some tweaks)

2017-08-11 19:44:51 UTC

>meme ... i wish

2017-08-11 19:46:26 UTC

arch anywhere is near non usable with encryption. and wew, saving 10 minutes is a real dealbreaker

2017-08-11 19:46:47 UTC

ITS VERY HARD TO COPY PASTE OK

I might order one, wait for it to obviously not be as described and dispute it through paypal

2017-08-11 20:10:02 UTC

are chink SSDs legit?

2017-08-11 20:10:12 UTC

yes and no

2017-08-11 20:10:22 UTC

depends on seller and manufacturer

2017-08-11 20:10:30 UTC

they're not even worth it anymore, same prices as amazon/newegg

2017-08-11 20:10:57 UTC

Kingdian s280 is fine

2017-08-11 20:11:14 UTC

maybe if you get them through like taobao or something they might be worth it but at ali/gearbest prices I don't see a point

2017-08-11 20:11:45 UTC

Last time i looked my chink ssd was much cheaper than localy

2017-08-11 20:11:54 UTC

I'm speaking in regards to the US

2017-08-11 20:12:00 UTC

as us americans have a habit of doing

2017-08-11 20:12:16 UTC

I'm in the US so it applies to me

2017-08-11 20:12:37 UTC

They want $50-58 for a 120gb SSD which is the same price as a couple of brands on amazon/newegg

2017-08-11 20:12:54 UTC

I might go ahead and geta 1TB for my desktop and just put my 500gb in my thinkpad

2017-08-11 20:13:24 UTC

(although I still have 370gb of unused space on my 500gb...)

2017-08-11 20:13:25 UTC

I too am trying to decide what I want to do for storage in my desktop. Feels shitty buying HDD in 2017 but SSD cabal is ridiculous

2017-08-11 20:13:46 UTC

we should be str8 chillin with $100 1tb drives right now

2017-08-11 20:13:49 UTC

@ultimate-drawmaster download children cartoons or porn

2017-08-11 20:13:54 UTC

HDDs are still far more gb:$

2017-08-11 20:14:01 UTC

2017-08-11 20:14:19 UTC

>7200rpm spinning rust platters

2017-08-11 20:14:27 UTC
