Last time I owned a kindle it had fireos and you wouldn't be able to use the play store. Had to flash cyanogenmod so that's a no go unless they've change their policy

why would you need the play store anyway? f-droid has everything necessary

yeah I worked in customer service for a phone/tablet company when it first came out, people were outraged at the lack of play store
