2017-11-02 14:12:55 UTC

2017-11-02 14:13:03 UTC

Then painting the back side white.

2017-11-02 14:13:06 UTC

ghetto move would be whole cheap enamel surface door painted white

2017-11-02 14:13:09 UTC

:P

2017-11-02 14:13:36 UTC

Oh shit. I forgot about that type of paint.

2017-11-02 14:13:51 UTC

I only thought as far as wanky spray paint.

2017-11-02 14:14:01 UTC

that thing does not cost much nor does magnetic chalkboard paint neither

2017-11-02 14:14:30 UTC

chalk just tends to be messy with the powder

2017-11-02 14:14:54 UTC

and electronics + chalkpowder&watermixture dont work well together

2017-11-02 14:15:32 UTC
2017-11-02 14:15:35 UTC

nice lamp

2017-11-02 14:15:45 UTC

Yeah, chalk is 100% out of the question for me.

2017-11-02 14:15:59 UTC

For home use anyway. I rather like the idea in a school setting.

2017-11-02 14:16:31 UTC

gearbest doesn not ship whiteboards... but they do have equal sized roof lamps https://www.gearbest.com/flush-ceiling-lights/pp_682978.html

2017-11-02 14:16:35 UTC

Even so, you'd probably want that to be made of frosted glass, simply for durability.

2017-11-02 14:16:50 UTC

frosted and tempered or plastic layered

2017-11-02 14:16:53 UTC

due shatter

2017-11-02 14:17:08 UTC

you dont want large sharp pieces of glass in your house

2017-11-02 14:17:11 UTC

well, order one of those lamps and cover it in that pvc thing

2017-11-02 14:17:15 UTC

Shatter? Don't write like a fucking terrorist.

2017-11-02 14:17:51 UTC

I think your ghetto door solution is the most feasible though. With the enamel paint.

2017-11-02 14:17:59 UTC

yeah

2017-11-02 14:18:06 UTC

does not really need to be door tho

2017-11-02 14:18:12 UTC

Well no.

2017-11-02 14:18:45 UTC

just plywood

2017-11-02 14:19:36 UTC

whats the english term for plywood what has that smooth slippery layer on top of it

2017-11-02 14:19:44 UTC

just lamin board or ?

2017-11-02 14:20:40 UTC

resin coated plywood ?

2017-11-02 14:20:42 UTC

i dunno

2017-11-02 14:21:13 UTC

film faced plywood ?

2017-11-02 14:21:15 UTC

Laminated, presumably? Then again, the entire board would be laminate...

2017-11-02 14:21:41 UTC

yes thats it .. film faced plywood

2017-11-02 14:22:09 UTC

In any case, you might be better off getting mdf / hdf for that.

2017-11-02 14:22:39 UTC

probly even tho sanding it smooth enough

2017-11-02 14:22:49 UTC

or getting smoot enough surface layer of paint

2017-11-02 14:22:56 UTC

would be pain with HDF

2017-11-02 14:23:30 UTC

(father used to own hardware store)

2017-11-02 14:24:33 UTC

I had no big problem with my diy wrist rest. It did absorb a fair amount of primer, and it certainly ended up with a more rough surface than I get the feeling you'll want, but I did want that.

2017-11-02 14:24:57 UTC

So I stopped sanding at a pretty coarse grit. :p
