do you need phantom power?
i got my blue yeti for $50
seems pretty close to the yeti in sound
yeah you can't really plug a bm-800 direct into PC, it requires power
the blue yeti works by packing phantom power inside of it
the USB connection charges it up
I don't mind though, it means I can easily upgrade to better mics like the audio technica ones one day
or Rode
what do you use for power
interesting in getting a bm-800
I used to use a chink phantom power box, now I use a focusrite scarlet solo
got it refurbished off ebay for fairly cheap
you can use a USB sound card to power the BM-800 decently well but nothing as good as full phantom power
@refinery if you have a blue yeti though that's fine for most things
I'd spend the money elsewhere
yeah i'll just get the stand + filter
i see even for a simple one like you have (scarlet solo) quite an investment
not doing any serious recording, only using it as a mic tbh
but don't like headset mics
Yeah I needed a decent setup for what I do, I do a /csg/ podcast
podcast on your youtube?
is it worth waiting until 11.11 to buy
or is it a meme
@Deleted User any idea if that drone you linked in hotdeals any good? https://www.gearbest.com/rc-quadcopters/pp_670388.html?lkid=11773763
wow... chinese have taken 1 step forward
https://www.gearbest.com/keyboards/pp_1015265.html this is actualy first one of these toys i have seen that is tolerable looking
why
what do the others look like
just the generic kidney-bean shape
@Stoopeedo no idea m8, check YouTube reviews
Not a drone guy
too late, I already ordered it
I've read some random review and it seems ok
but in the end the guy says "if you want an actual good foldable drone buy this" and gives a link to a $1000 drone
Yeah, the camera and gimbals add up
The Xiaomi 4k drone is decent at $400
I'd probably buy that if I had the cashola
I've never used drones so I'd have something pretty simple atm
also recently there was a law that requires you to register drones above 250 grams
