Can you speak English? * *no-no* *
"the device already ready to connect"
Xiaomi Mi Ai Speaker english patch when
but why not just get an amazon echo 2. gen?
@Gratzl when asked in Chinese if it speaks other languages it will say "It is preparing and training for other languages"
ooh that's nice
@Gratzl it's probably cheaper but I don't see the point in having one of these regardless
If you have alot of smarthome devices it makes sense I think
I will be obtaining a mi ai
I've always wanted one of those personal assistants but I hate Amazon and Google and don't want then listening in to my house. If it's the chinks I willing accept submission
I remember him saying that he does
classic shell has stopped development https://m.facebook.com/story.php?story_fbid=1637713492934167&id=302599519778911
o no
@Deleted User find me the cheapest UV light ot "charge" my glow in teh dark smartwatch thanks
i mean not like super fluently but i knew enough to get around china by myself
it could be good to have a virtual assistant in chinese because then i could practice my chinese day to day which would be helpful and i could also talk to it and have no one else understand which would be edgy
if its released in english ill probably buy one international and one chinese version so i can use both even tho that sounds counter intuitive
the english one will be set up with all my mi devices since the chinese one has naming issues
but ill use the chinese one to check weather and stuff daily so i can speak and listen for practice
mfw big waste of money but i dont care
Isn't Pinyin pretty easy to use once you know how to speak chinese?
yeah pinyin is super easy
it has a shorter alphabet than english too
Classic Shell will go Open Source
Windows 10 updating frequenly being a major hurdle for the CS dev
Seems to be Fall creators update of windows 10 to be the last officially supported release for Classic Shell
but like characters and speech take time just because of memorization
all characters are different but they have some similar strokes to give you an idea of what it is
but speaking is rough, if you dont meorise which words have which tones no one can understand you
if i forget a ton and im talking to someone i usually just say the word in four different tones until they figure out what im trying to say
unlike english where we just go by sound they go by tone and they get confused if you say a word with the wrong tone seems weird to us but pretty normal for them
tho chink grammar is super easy to pick up
waaaayyyy easier than english grammart
how long have you been learning chinese?
Tonal languages sound like a trip.
