GLR put it really well that revolution is a spectator sports. Always only a small fraction of population has taken active part in overthrowing the system, grand majority of people have no strong political views or views at all and just conform to the current system. And it cannot ever be expected to be otherwise. Insurrectionary anarchist fantasy where the masses reach collective counsciousness and 99% overthrows the 1% is a pure fantasy - even in October Revolution there was just a ridiculously tiny amount of soldiers who actually took part in the action of deposing the Provisional Government. I think they sustained like 12 injuries during the entire action or something. Quite different from the movies.
