too mch $$$$ anyway
im like ultra poorfag mode
you will have a hard time finding _any_ working 3d printer under that price point :x
shh
you could sell small prints for other poorfags
dont break my dreams
it's like $150 on hobbyking
im an ausbong so dont forget a lot of this shit isnt available
and out of stock atm, but
just find a way to earn some money back with that shit
@Frostjunkie nah i got other plans for shit
dont care about making money back with a 3d printer
the only semi-reasonable option cheaper than the x3 i can think of is a maylan m200
it's a couple bucks cheaper and like
why not any of the i3 clones
fkn 1/12 the build volume
tiny
the x3 is baaasically an i3 clone
the aluminum frame is more rigid than the more direct i3 clone i3 clones' frames though
ringing artifacts are a big problem with the acrylic sheet frames and even most steel sheet frames
i have like 0 standards for this shit
you will if you're printing headphone baffles
nah
ive been cutting them out of plastics by hand with some shears
accuracy means fuck all to me
i can sand shit down and add fillers as necessary
regardless you're gonna have a hard time finding anything cheaper than a tronxy x3 that's at all worth the effort of making it run
even if you go full diy
ye of little faith
hell, upgrading my wanhao i3 to use the chimera instead of the stock hotend has cost more than an x3
and i cut so many corners, especially on the electronics

Anet A8 has gone up in price it seems
slightly
if you really wanted to go budget you could just order ramps/stepper motors/bearings /e3d v6 clone/heated bed/smooth rods
and build a prusa frame with a sheet of plywood and threaded rods
maybe end up with something like that
arduino mega +ramps + stepper drivers + cooling for the stepper drivers is gonna be like $30, if you cheap out, you need _minimum_ four steppers, one for each axis and one for extruder, that's gonna be another $40, hotend + heater + thermistor will be another $15 or so, then the rods, belts, bearings, bearing blocks, couplers, small hardware, etc. you can expect to spend at _least_ another $50 on, and if you don't have someone to 3d print carriages and the like for you expect to spend a cool hundred bucks more
kits have gotten below the price point of diy unless you already have most of the parts on hand from other projects
