Why are all type C usb hub cables so fucking short

My mobo has a type C port, wanna use it for a type C usb hub

nearly all hub cables in general are stupidly short

but it's worse with usb c hubs because everyone and their mother markets them for the new macbooks

you generally want your cable as short as possible

because then it's cheaper and more reliable
