2018-06-13 18:10:15 UTC

lol i need to get some enameled wire to try winding my own voice coils

2018-06-13 18:10:21 UTC

gotta build a robot to do it for me

2018-06-13 18:10:26 UTC

tfw you realise you've spent more than $30 just on nitecore tubes

2018-06-13 18:10:40 UTC

I would feel justified buying a BLF Q8 if I didn't have to buy 4 cells for it

2018-06-13 18:10:52 UTC

A metal rod and a drill, HEKTIK?

2018-06-13 18:11:00 UTC

Julian
What is a nitecore?

2018-06-13 18:11:00 UTC

Then slide off the coil? Would that work?

2018-06-13 18:11:11 UTC

for experimenting sure

2018-06-13 18:11:12 UTC

Nitecore tube is a thumb sized flashlight

2018-06-13 18:11:27 UTC

i need to do it reliably tho so i gotta make some robot to do it for me

2018-06-13 18:11:30 UTC

Integrated battery and USB charging, great for keys

2018-06-13 18:11:33 UTC

2018-06-13 18:11:34 UTC

2018-06-13 18:18:53 UTC

only 15$ my friend

2018-06-13 18:18:57 UTC

cheap

2018-06-13 18:23:17 UTC

55 dollars for something like a usable BLF q8 is indeed cheap

2018-06-13 18:23:34 UTC

I'll get to it when I change jobs

2018-06-13 19:49:44 UTC

alright

2018-06-13 19:49:46 UTC

done

2018-06-13 19:50:15 UTC

though installed wrong firmware, it's fine though, cba to desolder the driver again

2018-06-13 19:58:26 UTC

Hm

2018-06-13 19:58:52 UTC

Interesting, the 45 degree TIR was 45 degrees indeed with a XM-L2, but with the Nichia 219 it's much more narrow, thanks to the smaller footprint

2018-06-13 19:58:55 UTC

It's aight tho

2018-06-13 20:31:18 UTC

'sup!

2018-06-13 20:31:35 UTC
