Anyone done the DIY Amiibo thing? I've got 2x http://s.aliexpress.com/EFZfaaIv at the local post office that I'm hoping arrive tomorrow, and I'm hoping there's a compilation of all the Amiibo .bins somewhere, rather than downloading them all one by one.

Neat :D NFC tags came in today, plus 5 other packages.

i remember @fedora linking fake fjällräven kånken backpacks on ali, anyone who knows where to find them? cant manage to search for them

2018-06-23 06:32:49 UTC

I ordered some shoes from the adidas_official store on ebay and wrote in a wrong address, figured it out only after 9 hours after sending the money. How fucked am I? I tried cancelling the order, but it says it is too late, so only wrote a message to the seller. It says that it is FedEx shipment.

Any thoughts on what to do next?

2018-06-23 06:38:34 UTC

@timsandtoms radius gauges, needle nose pliers, nail brush, photography gel for tinting flashlights, and notepads?

2018-06-23 06:41:59 UTC

@Sapharanth Close. Last two are little ziplock bags for flashlight parts, and the 200 NFC cards to make Amiibos with

2018-06-23 06:42:37 UTC

Ah, cards

2018-06-23 06:42:52 UTC

Too used to those keychain disc NFC devices

2018-06-23 06:43:07 UTC

And yeah, you mentioned the ziploc bags before

2018-06-23 06:43:18 UTC

Why so many radius gauges?

2018-06-23 06:44:46 UTC

Poor judgement mostly. There have been a handful of times that one would be handy, so I just went nuts and bought all the sizes.

2018-06-23 06:44:59 UTC

They were only around $2-3 each, so, meh.

2018-06-23 06:45:29 UTC

Ah

2018-06-23 06:45:46 UTC

Realistically, I probably need something that covers like 1-25mm

2018-06-23 06:45:52 UTC

So two or three tops.

2018-06-23 06:54:10 UTC

neat

2018-06-23 07:03:23 UTC

Just fire flashlights out of the gun.

2018-06-23 07:11:39 UTC

taofledermaus has done this

2018-06-23 07:11:50 UTC

he shot flashlights out of a shotgun

2018-06-23 07:24:36 UTC

Chink phone that will work on straight talk (ATT, TMO, VZW) for about $60 with a working home button--I just don't want to buy my uncle the phone he wants (some garbage Samsung J3 luna pro). Any contenders?

2018-06-23 07:39:39 UTC
2018-06-23 07:39:58 UTC

cross-reference that with the chinkphone of your choosing

2018-06-23 07:46:39 UTC

HOW CHOOSE

2018-06-23 07:47:52 UTC

by setting a budget and knowing what you want from a smartphone

2018-06-23 07:55:32 UTC

Right. So: Superior to J3 Luna Pro, working home button, $60. THEN what

2018-06-23 07:56:01 UTC

60usd?

2018-06-23 07:56:12 UTC

godspeed

2018-06-23 07:56:45 UTC

literally get a 5 year old high-end used

2018-06-23 08:01:12 UTC

Ye you can prob get a S4/s5

2018-06-23 08:13:30 UTC

Would it be better than the proposed device, though? What do S5s max out at?

2018-06-23 08:21:02 UTC

OS Support, that is.

2018-06-23 08:23:47 UTC

have you tried installing LineageOS

2018-06-23 08:25:20 UTC

that often helps with peeps complaining about speed

2018-06-23 08:25:25 UTC

you complain about unstability instead

2018-06-23 08:46:23 UTC

@Bee Trial prob android Oreo with a custom rom

2018-06-23 08:47:04 UTC

Yeah 8.1

2018-06-23 08:49:23 UTC

Interesting. That might be half-decent.
@spaqin Good idea, really.
I just want him to have a phone that he could use for a couple of years. Unfortunately, they're really cheap. The $100 range is good, but I'd like for him to have a case, too.
If he could just get rid of that desire to use the home button, we would be fine. I wonder if he could use moto's gimmick instead.

2018-06-23 08:50:42 UTC

J3 got Nogat

2018-06-23 08:50:46 UTC

unofficially
