Just there to build car for their own poor people

2018-08-22 01:40:15 UTC

Toyota and VW crashed them hard on the chinese market

2018-08-22 01:42:45 UTC

@pesten Cheap screwdrivers are too much trouble to be worth using. You don't gotta go Wera/Wiha/high-end, but don't buy CHEAP screwdrivers. The iFixIt kits are actually a good deal, or buy the driver you need now.

And that Xiaomi Wiha set I've heard is just licensed from Wiha, but not produced by them. It's MIC when they don't have facilities there, as far as I've heard.

2018-08-22 01:44:40 UTC

Still heard good things about quality though. Mediocre things about ergonomics.

2018-08-22 01:45:32 UTC

>Mediocre things about ergonomics

2018-08-22 01:46:14 UTC

Yeah, that's actually true. They're borderline for me, I guess they're a hassle for someone with actually large hands

2018-08-22 01:48:07 UTC

i once bought a cheap screwdriver

2018-08-22 01:48:20 UTC

like the bit was worn completely by the time i unscrewed everything

2018-08-22 01:48:43 UTC

learnt from then on never to bother cheaping out

2018-08-22 01:49:39 UTC

I'm sure half of us have owned those little silver mini sets, with the blue plastic base and clear top, and spinny but on the back of the driver.

2018-08-22 01:50:17 UTC

yep

2018-08-22 01:50:48 UTC

omgg thoseee

2018-08-22 01:51:06 UTC

The other half of us had it in a black case.

2018-08-22 01:51:27 UTC

They are hot garbage.

2018-08-22 01:51:51 UTC

i still have these

2018-08-22 01:52:01 UTC

i stole it from a friends house by accident

2018-08-22 01:52:12 UTC

They work okay for battery compartment screws

2018-08-22 01:52:16 UTC

That's about it

2018-08-22 01:52:35 UTC

Otherwise they strip right out.

2018-08-22 01:52:43 UTC

that's an oddly specific use case

2018-08-22 01:52:47 UTC

mine Just Work (tm)

2018-08-22 01:53:01 UTC

I mean, I had that set when I was a kid, so they mostly got used on toys.

2018-08-22 01:53:03 UTC

Oh yeah

2018-08-22 01:53:24 UTC

I still use the non cross ones to open lids and shit

2018-08-22 01:54:43 UTC

I invested in a bunch of Wera. Usually when someone says they invested in rediculously priced tools, you gotta go ""invested"" in finger quotes, but those drivers are worth their weight in... Well, not gold, but silver at least.

2018-08-22 01:55:12 UTC

Actually, their weight in silver is probably below MSRP...

2018-08-22 01:57:18 UTC

huh wera do a nice looking set for electronics for 28gbp

2018-08-22 01:57:20 UTC

might pick one up

2018-08-22 01:57:49 UTC

Dunno, everything "normal" sized i got german screwdrivers from now bankrupt companys

2018-08-22 01:57:52 UTC

All good though

2018-08-22 01:58:02 UTC

Chinks really ruined steel

2018-08-22 01:58:15 UTC

Hell yeah, especially in EU pricing. Wera and Wiha are the best for mini drivers.

2018-08-22 03:39:45 UTC

what's the chinkiest way to get a new tv cheap?

2018-08-22 03:39:58 UTC

steal one

2018-08-22 03:40:15 UTC

i think ur confusing chink with another racial slur

2018-08-22 03:40:28 UTC

but if your in the US just spend 600$ on that TCL one everyone buys

2018-08-22 03:40:44 UTC

i hear the brightness is dogshit

2018-08-22 03:40:50 UTC

its also 600

2018-08-22 03:41:00 UTC
