or do I just get WD
I'm using a Seagate SSHD, and have for the past year
it seems to be holding up
ive had a seagate that started making noise like 6 years ago, then it kept going for 5 more years before i retired it because I was worried it would just catch on fire or something
my 4 WD drives have had no issues so far
whats the deal with sshds/
is it just a little flash memory cache on top of a hdd?
Exactly
Basically they're a decently cheap way to get faster boot times
how do you tell the drive to put the system files on the ssd portion?
You don't
Think of it like a mini optane
ooh
but ssd+hdd is probably cheaper now that ssds are dumb cheap
Indeed as only reliable hybrid is firecuda and they are around 80 for TB
Aka half the price of normal 1TB ssd
Whatvare between 150-250
Considering 1TB HGST HDD is 50 dollars
On quick amazon comparison
I blame phone
Nvm
@Berserk64 just go on tech tablets lol
Neat, how much was the mica?
None of that was mica, it's little balls, little iridescent flecks, and tiny strands of like tinsel stuff. But some of the mica came the other day. Don't remember cost, but it's all dirt cheap.

What's the difference between VR headset priced at 30 bucks and a VR cardboard for 3 bucks?
One of them is made of paper
The other plastic

Oh, but @Millwood, mixing it with epoxy to turn on lathe.
That second picture is maybe 1/3 of what's on the way?
@timsandtoms what is this?
@Tribit Mica powder, glitter, generally sparkly shit. It's stuff for doing fancy nail art, but I'ma use it for other stuff.
Like what?
Mixing with epoxy and turning it on a lathe. Lemme find an example.
To make a coloured epoxy?
