Bta-403
qutie sturdy stuff
fun part is : it came on small package tagged as "mobile phone cover"
like ... what
on a different topic
I bought my fourth 2139U3 from ORICO three days ago, I think I bought too many.
anyone know a chink powerline?
or a good western one? the one that I got with isp is quite shit
dont
I have a friend that uses Powerline
He got a Powerline from a Western brand and it was crap, they lied about specs too.
the thing is I have basically no other option
It was Devolo, so there you got my warning.
pulling cable through the walls might be expensive idk
I think his other ones worked great, he bought them as an upgrade but the internet kept disconnecting all the time using Devolo.
Dont remember what his main was, he had to switch back to the old ones and wasted his money since no return window.
They worked great for the return window though...
Local powerlines tend to be cheaper
Especially used
Well 5 GHz doesnt handle walls any well, I got two Xiaomi 5 GHz routers and they are doing well here.
I got one for a friend and he kept complaining that he got low ping in his shitty vidya games, when I came in I noticed why, idiot had put speakers and his PC next to it so you could even hear the signal distortion from the speakers
"the router is crap"
would be careful about used powerline though @spaqin but definitely get a brand one
they are expensive af
might ask electrician friend to come around and guess how much it's going to cost to get the cable from top floor to basement
also be careful, get return window, it may be they dont work with your specific electrical wiring
thing about wiring Ethernet is that its much cheaper to do a lot at once, thats why they wire up the whole place, but if you for example wire yourself it can be much cheaper.
this house is ancient so idk about the wiring here
I think old wiring can cause issues
It is because the state of your wires will probably be corroded, old, with poor ground. Fuses that have seen better days, circuits that are round and not the new switch ones, you know those that heat up and "pop" I'm also poorfag so I know all about this, I dont have ground for shit in the power sockets in most my house even if we 2018.
probably got no overvoltage protection, guess everything will be on fire when a lightening strike hits
At this point I would just try some powerline and see if it works, if not dont bother, it can be that you are lucky.
powerline works fine it's just that they're slow
only getting a fraction of the internet speed I'm getting if I were to use a cable
you cant expect your power cables to be as good as a Cat5.E or above Ethernet cable with shielding and 1 Gbps throughput *minimum.
they will be shit
Virgin high frequency modulation vs Chad 8 crossed wires with optional shielding
