@LookRat had a mi band 2 since release. if you mean 3rd part apps to track sports stuff, Google fit is your only bet pretty much

otherwise just use mi fit, the official app, it can track all of that too

have you found any that let you have control over phone's music?

then there's "Tools & Mi Band", a paid third party app to control notifications in autistic levels of detail, monitor HR on a hourly etc basis and some other stuff like exporting sleep data into Sleep as Android
