it uses sony sensors

2018-10-11 08:38:21 UTC

same as the iphones

2018-10-11 08:38:37 UTC

the difference is the software which is why google pixel phones takes better shots

2018-10-11 08:38:51 UTC

wasn't software always the bottleneck with xiaomi cameras

2018-10-11 08:38:54 UTC

for the price point you wont get any better in camera

2018-10-11 08:38:56 UTC

tbh

2018-10-11 08:41:28 UTC

yeah fair

2018-10-11 08:42:07 UTC

yeah as you stated the sensor does not matter if everything else is shit underneath

2018-10-11 08:43:09 UTC

i believe google uses some advanced AI shit

2018-10-11 08:43:15 UTC

to make some future HDR mode

2018-10-11 08:43:19 UTC

to make their cameras so good

2018-10-11 08:43:23 UTC

My Redmi 4 Prime is still chugging but the screen thing kind of bothers me

2018-10-11 08:43:35 UTC

I compared it side by side with my brother's 5A

2018-10-11 08:43:43 UTC

and my screen was noticeably more yellow

2018-10-11 08:44:14 UTC

time to upgrade

2018-10-11 08:46:32 UTC

i want to get apple airpods

2018-10-11 08:46:41 UTC

so I can have wireless earphones that have a long battery life

2018-10-11 08:46:45 UTC

tell me why I shouldnt

2018-10-11 08:49:23 UTC

by the way I don't assume chinkery like miband 3 NFC works with google pay does it

2018-10-11 08:50:17 UTC

@Maxumym do you have night mode on? mightve been the reason for the yellow

2018-10-11 08:51:00 UTC

nope, I checked for that right away

2018-10-11 08:57:35 UTC

I'd suggest to check your screen temperature settings

but I've also compared my RN4X to my brother's and his looks way better at a cool temperature than mine, even though mine had only been used for a couple months and his a year

2018-10-11 08:57:51 UTC

I think they might just have a screen lottery thing going on

2018-10-11 08:57:54 UTC

lol

2018-10-11 09:10:26 UTC

screen temps were set to default on both

2018-10-11 09:10:46 UTC

honestly it's a hard issue to spot by itself

2018-10-11 09:10:55 UTC

like, I got used to that screen colour

2018-10-11 09:11:03 UTC

but it's very evident in comparison

2018-10-11 09:43:42 UTC

honestly I dont think redmi phones should be kept longer than 2 years

2018-10-11 09:43:48 UTC

and the redmi 4 is a good phone

2018-10-11 09:43:52 UTC

but it's time to upgrade

2018-10-11 09:58:36 UTC

Phones are becoming good enough that upgrades aren’t really required.

2018-10-11 09:58:53 UTC

Plus Redmis tend to have good community support

2018-10-11 09:59:23 UTC

community support?

2018-10-11 09:59:26 UTC

u mean pajeet

2018-10-11 10:00:16 UTC

Kek

2018-10-11 10:08:36 UTC

when are the big sales again, 11.11?

2018-10-11 10:24:57 UTC

I've been using a Redmi Note 3 for 2 years and see no reason to upgrade. It still dos everything I need it to do, doesn't stutter and is on 9.0 with the September security patch

2018-10-11 10:39:02 UTC

My redmi note 3 has some audio issues. In phone calls the other person hears my voice but it's very quiet. I think it has something to do with the os, but I haven't bothered to look into it because I never call anyone and I receive a phone call about once a month max

2018-10-11 10:40:10 UTC

I've read it is not that uncommon issue but I'm too lazy to fix because it basically doesn't affect me

2018-10-11 11:13:17 UTC

I still use my redmi note 3 as a remote control at home
