I'm in a market for a new phone. I found a local person selling her 128gb iphone 7 for 200€. Only downside is that the screen is broken. Somehow the only scratches are on the screen, the body looks clean and new, I assume a case has been used. Would it be wise to buy a 20€ replacement screen from aliexpress? Are there any differences between the screens? What should I consider when looking for the replacement screen?
I'm assuming the screen is alive enough to verify its unlocked
yeah, if it's icloud locked you're shit out of luck
Yeah it's unlocked. The seller is a mid class white female so I think the case is that she may have gotten some money from home insurance and didn't want to pay local price of 200€ for screen replacement service and instead got a brand new phone.
Cis. I wouldn't be buying anything from a queer. Who knows what weird orgies and that phone could have gone through.
probably use for dilation
>iphone
eh
3rd party displays are gonna be hit and misss
not sure if theyll even work anymore
€20 is going to get you a crap screen
from what i heard the apple screen repairs are actually good value now, and obviously original parts
yeah they are
How much should I invest in a decent screen then? Where I live there are no official apple stores and the cheapest place doing iphone screen replacements charge 200€ or more.
I don't want to pay that much,if I can get a good replacement screen for say 50€ I'm happy
There is a store next town that sells a screen for 50€ and they claim that the quality is good. Plus the screen has a warranty too. Maybe I just get the screen from there. 200€ + 50€ for an 128gb iphone 7 still sounds reasonable to me.
@provisionforvoids why not just pay more for a non cracked phone?
Because the ones without a cracked screen cost at least 100€ more. I don't want 32gb version and I'd rather not get older than iphone 7.
do you have any experience with replacing screens?
Yes, I've done one galaxy s3, galaxy s4 and some old nokia lumia.
I've also replaced some other parts, most recently the usb port from my current rn3p
ah nice
then go for it, especially if the local screen has a warranty
Oh and almost forgot, I've replaced a screen from iphone 4 also
