What's the difference?
Free enterprise is kinda the natural mode of operation for people
No bulli I'm new
How so?
It's based on incentive.
People want to eat. People want homes
People acquire resources to meet these needs
And they do so of their own accord. That's free enterprise to my understanding
So is there any possibility for free enterprise and the National good to come into conflict?
Capitalism takes it up a few extra levels. It allows for a lot more exploitation
Does anyone else care to jump in? I'm not the best at economics
I slept through my high school econ class
I vaguely remember something about guns and butter
Ideally (and I know a lot of libertarians unironically believe this) the system that is best is when everyone is allowed to freely do what they want, and the market regulates itself and there is no conflict with nation interest
This, of course, is fucking retarded
Right it puts profit over people
And when you put profit over people, the end result is inevitably entire factories geared towards making dildos
The Bad Dragon Jew strikes again
Another major fault in totally free capitalism is that monopolies will inevitably form
Insider trading
Importation at the expense of the nation
But I realize that people can't be trusted to do everything right
How is it then we can dictate economic morality?
Usery, land speculation, etc
I'm pretty sure religion solved that problem back in the day
Not 100% sure though
We use government to ban usury
Economic regulations
Muh church and state
Is this movement reactionary?
this movement is revolutionary
Indeed
Wew
We don't want minor changes like conservatives
We want something new
Even if you go back to the 50's, the end result will be the same
Doesn't reactionary though imply a return to something?
What we want has never been achieved in the US
We don't want a return. If you turn back the clock, you'll eventually up in the same place
Exactly
