Watermelon

2019-05-07 06:42:15 UTC

Based, my grandma's growing watermelons too

2019-05-07 06:42:40 UTC

My mother's experimenting with regular melons

2019-05-07 06:43:05 UTC

yah this is a small variety that fruits in 65 days

2019-05-07 06:43:08 UTC

so hopefully it works

@ᚱᛟᛟᛏ how meta do I need to get with soil growing indoors/on a balcony? Do I really need all of the mulch, topsoil, potting soil, and etc. or is that all just specialty memes and I can get by with like 1 or 2 kinds of soil?

2019-05-07 18:34:00 UTC

Kek, just go to the regular garden store and buy some regular garden soild and it's prolly gonna be enough for most things

2019-05-07 19:14:41 UTC

Dope

2019-05-07 19:14:58 UTC

just make sure you have perlite for good drainage

2019-05-07 19:15:11 UTC

and try not to get mixures with too much peat moss

2019-05-07 19:15:14 UTC

I was reading up on it and theres some pretty detailed and optimized info.

Here you go @ᚱᛟᛟᛏ

<:poggers:531564093891674143>

2019-05-07 20:45:08 UTC

Hers are so big

2019-05-07 20:46:30 UTC

what city are you closest to, again?

2019-05-07 20:48:34 UTC

If you'd consider it a city I guess Zamość, if not, Lublin

2019-05-07 20:48:59 UTC

I mean, for polish standards my town is a "city", damn even a "powiat city"

2019-05-07 20:49:06 UTC

But it's like 27k

2019-05-07 20:49:16 UTC

So

2019-05-07 20:49:35 UTC

Poland has a lot of microclimates

2019-05-07 20:49:52 UTC

seems like you're zone 6b then

2019-05-07 20:50:08 UTC

I don't know what that means, but whatever

2019-05-07 20:50:35 UTC

no wonder you got spring sooner

2019-05-07 20:50:36 UTC

means

2019-05-07 20:50:42 UTC

I guess there are different climates for mountains, regions near sea and prolly north-east

2019-05-07 20:51:01 UTC

that any perrenials you have need to be able to stand -20.6°C to -17.8°C to survive

2019-05-07 20:51:51 UTC

Whatever that means either

2019-05-07 20:52:50 UTC

perrenials are plants that live more than 2 years

2019-05-07 20:53:00 UTC

they go dormant in the winter

2019-05-07 20:53:07 UTC

and wake up in the spring

2019-05-07 20:53:43 UTC

There used to be temperatures lower than -20C I think
Not anymore though
