We were supposed to find what the fuck's wrong with the electrohydraulic system (idk how to translate it but literally it'd be "drilling automate")
And we were supposed to do that based on a lot of different shit, but mostly on resistance measurements between different points in the system

And I dunno how much have you learned about electronics in school, but coils of electrovalves are supposed to have non-infinite, but also different from 0 resistance (irl something around 400-500 ohm, but it was about 30 on the exam for some reason)

And we've had these measurements which we had to compare to what would they be if the system were working correctly
If they were the same, we were supposed to write "yes", otherwise - "no"

So yeah, there was a measurement saying that the resistance is infinite between Q0.0 and Y1:A1, which just means that there's no connection, and that's a really simple and common error
But then in the table, it was written that the resistance between Y1:A1 and other outputs of the PLC (Q0.x) is also infinite
Which is not true, but it's also not 0, so I was thinking that may be what they meant
But it would imply a lot of errors and even in the irl, dysfunctional system it wasn't possible to measure resistances like that between these points

So it was this "neither yes, nor no" situation I was talking about

But for example if Y1:A1/Q0.1 would be infinite shit gets hard to explain, since that would mean that either one or both of the coils are fucked up (I checked and they weren't) or there's some other connection inbetween these points that's fucked up (there isn't)

If they just meant that the resistance should be say 60 ohms
I'd have to just write "no", because the measurement was incorrect
But that raises the question why the fuck is the measurement incorrect?
And I couldn't really find any satisfying explanation

While obviously the measurement couldn't be correct according to the scheme since there's an obvious connection between these points
