Lol
If anyone could have any territorial claims here it would be Poland, not Germany
>Masuria
>Upper Silesia
I'd say that upper silesia has a stronger claim in the hands of Czechs than Poles.
Also that's where my Grandpa was from
But back in his day it was Germany.
Do I know, Silesians speak a dialect of Polish and are closer culturally to Poles
The whole Silesia was under the Czech rule for quite a time, but their cultural impact on these lands was pretty non-existing compared to Germans
And how many people speak Silesian?
Over German or Polish?
Although I suppose nowadays the German language has been mostly purged out of Prussian land given to Poland.
Probably the same with the native Prussians.
>Prussian land
I hate when people use it when they obviously don't mean actual Prussia
And there wasn't many ethnic Germans there anyway, mostly germanised local population
Silesian isn't very widely spoken, but it's still used, even by younger generation
Actual Prussia as in the pre-German confederation kingdom?
Or Prussia as in, all of Prussia including Polish held territory?
Prussia as in
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Prussia_(region)
Although imo this map is a bit exaggerated
When you say "Prussia" as in region, it usually doesn't include Gdańsk Pomerania and eastern Lithuania (Kłajpeda, etc.)
Yeah I was gonna say
Also the map's not in English which kinda sucks
What's the difference? There's nothing important written there anyway
Just "historical regions of old Prussia"
