Interesting "debate" on China coming up.
The question they're asking the teams is
>is China a threat to the liberal international order?
Which is the dumbest question you could possibly fucking ask, Lenin made it pretty fuckin crystal clear the first time what's to be done with liberals of all kinds.
Or any non-communist for that matter.
Like do these people think that if China were to replace the US as the global superpower that regime changes are just gonna end? Nibber they're gonna be even worse because they'll be communist regime changes and likely happen in the west.
I dont particularly like the US position as the global superpower, but they're 100x better than anything China would ever do.
Individual countries starving to death wasn't enough, now only China can bring the world into a new age of perpetual communist starvation.
I have to disagree with most of what you've written here
First and the most important fallacy you have committed is treating China as a communist power
China has clearly cut-off from her communist past with introduction of dengism as a main ideology of the party
They of course still hold the communist symbolics, but it's mostly for propaganda purposes
Also, if we're talking about Chinese foreign relations, it's important to remember, that China currently doesn't support any communist or socialist regime on a bigger scale, and most of their important allies are far from being communist
I'm not trying to defend China or say that it's a great country, cause it definitely isn't
And I don't think that it'd be much better global superpower than US, although I think it's good if there's a counterbalance to American hegemony, and China is the only country able to fulfill this role currently
If there was a strong European federation, or if Russia wasn't a collapsed state, I wouldn't mind China coming back to being irrelevant
But in our timeline, I think it's actually pretty good
I'm not against a cold war or opposition to the US, but the proposal of replacing the sole superpower with an even worse one is 100% bad.
And I think China is communist they're just really good at hiding it.
They're seizing the means of production on a global scale through capitalist means.
You simply cannot beat the low cost of labor and lack of regulation in China.
I would rather say they're really good at faking it
Now whether that's for power reasons or for Marxist reasons is up for debate.
And yeah, I think that there shouldn't be a single superpower in the world, it's obviously always bad
Probably both in the grand scheme of things.
Yeah power monopolies and monopolies of all kinds are bad.
China is far closer to the pre-war China than to the Maoist China
And far closer to Western type capitalism and corporationism than to socialism of any kind
They actually have a problem with inequalities going so high, that people slowly start protesting against it
I figured they were gonna try and reduce scarcity with all the resources they have under contract in African countries and then worry about the QoL shit later.
Daily reminder that Europe is *dying*
