It's not that bad but most of the /soc/ servers kinda suck.

Too many inside jokes and shit to get involved unless you're just as degenerate as most of the people in them.

I was looking around for D&D servers and I ended up finding this place on reddit where people just host their general roleplaying servers and all the ads are nightmarish

If they're anything like /tg/ they spend more time theorycrafting and discussing than actually playing the game.

this post has two pages of writing trying to explain the backstory of the server setting and the writing is bad, and the backstory is explained with no context, and is bad in itself.
