hello @S.I.G no TTS today, I'm on soft discord today

2019-03-08 13:33:05 UTC

No Arch linux update for Discord yet

2019-03-08 13:33:41 UTC

Your an Arch Wizard?

2019-03-08 13:33:49 UTC

I guess

2019-03-08 13:34:09 UTC

*bows lol*

2019-03-08 13:34:48 UTC

Hey, no need to bow, I am just a humble open source developer

2019-03-08 13:35:01 UTC

But you can always give me a like on my git-hub page

2019-03-08 13:35:25 UTC

I rejoice every time I manage to get an Arch based distro to move past GRUB boot screen.

2019-03-08 13:35:49 UTC

Same hard drive? Yeah ONLY way you're doing dual boot is through the bios

2019-03-08 13:36:03 UTC

It's not even Arch Linux fault, Windows insists on a proprietary boot UEFI

2019-03-08 13:36:23 UTC

Bill Gates is a cunt, he acts like Linux isn't a thing

2019-03-08 13:36:33 UTC

Although Manjaro is kind of a halfway between an out of the box and endless headaches

2019-03-08 13:36:45 UTC

Yes Manjaro is Arch Liunx under the hood

2019-03-08 13:36:45 UTC

a good short about joining cults

2019-03-08 13:36:55 UTC

Bill doesn’t register man

2019-03-08 13:37:02 UTC

why join when u can CREATE

2019-03-08 13:37:48 UTC

Why create when you can observe?

2019-03-08 13:37:55 UTC

Did Torvalds step away recently?

2019-03-08 13:38:32 UTC

Media seems conflicting

2019-03-08 13:38:35 UTC

Don't know, don't care, Arch Linux is an entirely different beast, it's totally different from Linux whilst at the same time capable of running most linux applications if you compile them from source

2019-03-08 13:39:04 UTC

Lol a beast being the operative word.

2019-03-08 13:39:13 UTC

There was a vulnerability that affected Debian and Slack, but Arch wasn't effective because of the brutal security

2019-03-08 13:39:18 UTC

Good luck hacking Arch

2019-03-08 13:41:13 UTC

Hardened from the kernel up, very much bleeding edge keeping everyone guessing. Even zero day type attacks are largely inadequate.

2019-03-08 13:41:47 UTC

See why I love arch for cyber-activism?

2019-03-08 13:42:17 UTC

Although overconfidence and overestimating your ability can be costly.

2019-03-08 13:42:48 UTC

Many come undone as the Arch user base internationally is limited

2019-03-08 13:43:14 UTC

3 days of a black screen I wrote my own book to try to work out what's what

2019-03-08 13:43:29 UTC

I mean I knew about partition management from a long time ago, getting Arch up to command line is easy

2019-03-08 13:43:39 UTC

The leap from command to GUI is where the learning curve starts

2019-03-08 13:44:51 UTC

Oath! And it’s deceptively steep. Tried a simple task like changing a login splash screen via GUI... 👎

2019-03-08 13:44:58 UTC

I mean it's wise to have a 200mb boot partitiom, a 20gig swap, 30 gig for system files, 1.4 terrabytes for all your downloads and stuff

2019-03-08 13:45:20 UTC

Other people have done it before, look at their code on github and just copy paste and trim accordingly

2019-03-08 13:45:21 UTC

45min later and much profanity it had a BSOD

2019-03-08 13:45:44 UTC

3 days it took when I first nose dived into Arch from formatting ubuntu to gui
