The leather palm side of the impacts are pretty tough though i had em when i last wrecked my bike n had gripped the exhaust n it just melted the stitching a bit

My brother had to buy his case so I'm assuming I'll have to too. I'm actually about to go up and get it. That bag will be pretty big for a 10/22 so I might just get a cheap bag for now and keep my ifak in with the gun.

Snap caps is the item you're referring to. Get the aluminum ones, yes they're more expensive but the extractor will rip the rim off the plastic ones
