I just checked. About 10 bucks for a new spring and guide rod.

I'm sure it doesn't. We're both just worried that it could be something worse than a defective spring because it looks good. We're both technically capable but new to owning guns.

I've never owned a 10/22 so I can't say for sure. That's a pretty reasonable amount of cycles for any bolt. Far from the lifetime of the gun, but more than most people ever shoot their gun.
I don't thinking needing to replace a 10 dollar part after that many rounds sounds weird.
