They don't venerate Mary nor the Saints. They do actually worship them.

I don't think there is anything wrong with liturgical services, but the fact that the Trinity is held in lower standard than Mary is heretical.

@fredfuchs There is a difference between worship and veneration. Worship would be giving your prayers *to* the Saint. Veneration is praying to the Trinity *with* the Saint.

Every saint is so because of something they've done in the name of God. Praying with them, giving them respect and using them as a point of reference for "I want to be like that" is veneration. I'm not sure how the Catholic church goes about it though.

I think its more like a role model thing than it is saints being viewed as a god
