I can imagine it being not as bad on short excursions with light weight camping gear in temperate environments compared to arid or winter where one would require more wet weight and the latter would increase dry weight because of winter equipment

@|||ST that's more reasonable, winter jackets just exacerbate the issue. Even dealing with two sets of straps, chest rig and backpack, is annoying and can either chafe or cut off blood to your arms

Straps dig in, you find every place the pads don't cover, and your neck gets tired as shit
I've been training neck 3 days a week. Mostly for aesthetics but it'll help with helmet + NODs
I felt like I was getting close to 3pl8 then I stopped going to the gym for half a month because of being burnt out from school. Got back and was barely past 2pl8 for work sets 😔
