4600s are a nice balance but are thicc and out of your set budget

2019-12-16 05:51:49 UTC

@Deus Vult go find the NIJ website

2019-12-16 05:51:53 UTC

and search for the plates

2019-12-16 05:52:08 UTC

Just order NIJ plates dude

2019-12-16 05:52:26 UTC

john nij

2019-12-16 05:52:29 UTC

thats how you know those plates are hescos as well. theres only so many plates on the nij list

2019-12-16 05:52:49 UTC

Ya lots of hescos

2019-12-16 05:53:05 UTC

Wait which hesco?

2019-12-16 05:53:22 UTC

Bob johnson added a crimmus hat to his profile picture

2019-12-16 05:53:23 UTC

Nice

2019-12-16 05:53:30 UTC

@|||ST 50/50 on all 3 nvg setups

2019-12-16 05:53:31 UTC

I checked and it listed them as lvl IV from hesco, just wanted to make sure. It also said there were like 25 plates at lvl IV named 4401 on the NIJ site

2019-12-16 05:54:24 UTC

Those are the last 25 plates left for sale 😔

2019-12-16 05:55:13 UTC

so you know, the cost of having a plate certified is 20k+, so its not something done lightly or by fly-by-night companies

2019-12-16 05:55:14 UTC

No I mean 25 different listings from different companies labeled 4401

2019-12-16 05:55:40 UTC

If I torture my own cock and balls for 3 days, does that count as enough gear to fill a 3DAP? Asking for a friend.

2019-12-16 05:55:42 UTC

On NIJ

2019-12-16 05:55:46 UTC

thats why theres so many that are sold as 'tested to NIJ standards' or 'tested by an NIJ-certified lab'

2019-12-16 05:56:34 UTC

But that link for the $99 4401 said "These are Certified to 0101.06 NIJ Standard not just tested."

2019-12-16 05:57:08 UTC

yes

2019-12-16 05:57:17 UTC

How are they certified but not tested

2019-12-16 05:57:45 UTC

because 'tested to NIJ xxx Standard' is a normal thing you see on websites trying to sell you uncertified plates

2019-12-16 05:58:01 UTC

and they want to point out that this isn't one of those cases

2019-12-16 05:58:30 UTC

To the peeps here running fixed bridge, any complaints?

2019-12-16 05:58:54 UTC

I guess I'm fucking dyslexic I read certified just not tested when it said certified not just tested

2019-12-16 05:58:56 UTC

I dont know if I want the decreased sturdiness of articulating nods

2019-12-16 05:59:04 UTC

My bad

2019-12-16 05:59:51 UTC

>reacting to your own comment

2019-12-16 06:00:22 UTC

@Deus Vult You're fucking dicks lick it

2019-12-16 06:00:33 UTC

your nods ought to be at least somewhat articulated

2019-12-16 06:01:33 UTC

So youre saying just get dtnvgs?

2019-12-16 06:01:50 UTC

😏

2019-12-16 06:14:37 UTC

no seriously though I cant make my mind up between dtnvg and rnvg, both can take external battery packs now with the advent of the dicc adapter

2019-12-16 06:14:39 UTC

Ouch

2019-12-16 06:14:54 UTC

front cable on the dtnvg is still an oof

2019-12-16 06:15:48 UTC

rnvg it is then? Everyone says the only issue i would run into is it getting snagged on things when stowed up

poopoo

2019-12-16 06:16:58 UTC

Being able to articulate to free an eye up seems like a nice touch but not if pic related happens
