If you milled too far forward you could go into mag release pocket/bolt catch pocket

I don't know how you could do that

5d tactical jig. Almost impossible to go too far forward.

It's possible to make your catch pivot more as well if it's a desperate situation

Nope. Didnt have one. Had to drill through 7075. Was not fun.

If you slow down drill speed of hand drill it’s quicker
