yes but hipsters sometimes make those and those are usually a couple of middle class kids playing around
could be wrong though
Nah
Alot of people in that area would have been in the ira
Especially in the bogside where bloody Sunday happend
haha aight, hopefully we see a resurgence of northern irish indipendence, but socialist
^
did Bloody sunday happen in Derry?
Yeah
im sorry im swedish i have no idea
I was talking to people who were there
The soldiers literally executed people
Who were already down
thats what happens when you step to global powers like the Brittish Empire
do you think the uk will fracture because of brexit?
the scotts seem eager to leave
Im surprised Scotland didn't get their independence
And nationalist community is growing in ni
Me too it seemed so obvious, i guess it was economic in the end,
Almost even now
Seems strange for wales to remain, i mean the united kingdoms of England and Wales doesn't sound so cool
Its just Wales doesn't care for independence
maybe
All empires collapse in the end
No matter how strong
Even the ottomans
Yes although i dont think its as much of a constant as different empires last differently, i think for example the ERE lasted essentially 700 years in turkey and the ottomans lasted 400 years after that,
I mean even though they had their hickups the chinese empire lasted under differnet dynasties for a very long time, and then it was the nationalist and then the communist china, but china remains constant
China did split alot
But that's quick a different situation than the uk
im not sure how cemented the English language is in the kingdoms, i might be uneducated but there seems to be some cultural overlap among the brittish isles, and thus maybe people see more value in sticking together?
i mean i hope it splits, the less regional powers in europe the better
divide et impera
Alot of nationalists in ni are adamant about teaching gaeilge in schools
that might be it, but how much in Scotland?
although Scotland seems eager to leave anyways
After the independence vote failed people were rioting
haha thats right, and i think since they want to remain in the EU brexit probably changed the situation
even alot of people in london wanted independence
as london is essentially a city state
