Yes although i dont think its as much of a constant as different empires last differently, i think for example the ERE lasted essentially 700 years in turkey and the ottomans lasted 400 years after that,

im not sure how cemented the English language is in the kingdoms, i might be uneducated but there seems to be some cultural overlap among the brittish isles, and thus maybe people see more value in sticking together?
