In north Korean
Kim has 99% voters
and what?
This is a typical figure for authoritarian leaders
And Gaddafi before he was overthrown had 90%
In authoritarian countries this figure is simply drawn by the goverment
I'll tell you what
Not all russian products are bad, but only those that have connections with the government
> In authoritarian countries this figure is simply drawn by the goverment
Except that most Russians I know both irl and online were pro-Putin
Especially the ones irl
@Deleted User honestly I blame Russians too, I don't get this whole 'the Russian government is evil but the people are ok'
who is responsible for the Russian government ffs?
tyrants have been ruling Russia for centuries it's in Russian mentality, they love to have their beloved tsar ruling over them with a strong hand
Westerners, for the sake of democracy, paid in blood and overthrew their reigmes
Russians can do the same
They did
And gommies took power
And we're all still paying the consequences
<:lewd:273432968490385408>
then should have put democrats in power
you should be ashamed
this
honestly the whole mentality of "oh the people are great its just the old wyt men controlling everyone"
Where any conflict of interest or national identity is swept under the rug because middle class industrialized societies cant come to terms with the fact that not everyone is angelic
I honestly don't believe as many people can be "pro-something" as russians are pro putin.
And I'm not saying the elections were rigged or they didn't vote for him. People are (unfortunately) optimizing when voting - they have to choose between the chances a candidate or a party has to win and how close the candidate is politically to the said voter. So very often people choose a candidate that has very little to do with them politically "except that one thing" (like the refugees issue in poland in our last elections) but seems to have fair chances. That's how nsdap was chosen in germany despite only a small percentage of germans being actual nazis.
I'm sure there are a lot of people being full pro putin, but i suspect the majority are voting for him because he has a little bit of everything for everyone and is seen as a sure candidate
@Sayonara Braincells I don't think you saw a lot of russian
About online russian
russians*
You have not considered those who are just kremlinbots
from Lahta 2 in Saint-Petersburg
@rogalik In some ways, you are right, but the problem is the lack of objective information and total propaganda in the russian media
tbh lets discuss in English in <#453202614553804810>
If Putin's propaganda spreads even in the West, I will not even talk about Russia.
@Sayonara Braincells Btw, I know a lot of russian who are against Putin and pro-West
russians*
A lot is still not the majority tbh
