a lot of statistics include any shooting with 3 or more deaths
which again could be from another thing like gang shootings
not your typical massacre you think of like in el paso
`As of August 5th, 2019, 250 mass shootings have occurred in 2019 that fit the inclusion criteria of this article. This averages out to 1.2 shootings per day. In these shootings, 979 people were shot; of those people, 246 have died.`
yes what is the criteria though
like i said, most people think of what you would call a massacre with one or a few people killing a bunch of unarmed people
in a lot of cases its just any gun related thing with multiple casualties
which artificially inflates the number
fbi calls it massacre when it reaches 4 casualties
yes but you see the issue here right?
4 casualties could be a gang shoot out
not some guy shooting up a walmart
so the number is inflated from what your generally common definition of a mass shooting would be
so its disingenuous
if we really had like 3 every day there would be more news about it, and 2 in one week wouldnt be news headlines
my definition includes gang violence lol
and yeah a lot of these have 0 deads but it doesnt make them not an issue
tho I doubt in those cases people used automatics
but still they are mental lmao
no but you understand that gang violence is inherently different than a guy shooting up and unarmed population
thats why im saying using that as a metric without putting an asterisk whenever you say it is disingenuous
ultimate you have 4.5 gun related homicides for every 100k people, really not that bad
ye and for europe its what?
It's still a low number regardless, compare the US to other diverse new world nations
Germany has low crime in general
For example
Same for most Europe countries
why are you compaing the US to low developed nations compare it to Western Europe
because demographically and contextually the US is more similar to those nations
US homicide rate is 4.9 with gun homicide being 4.7
find countries that have similar homicide rates to that
it doesnt make sense to compare a peaceful country to the US then blame it on guns if there is more crime in the first place
8ch its dead
gud
>it doesnt make sense to compare a peaceful country to the US
isnt the US supposed to be peaceful? you are amongst the few richest countries on Earth, you have the resources to deal with these issues
the demographics dont compare so its an illogical comparison
you can spout about how le niggers isnt an argument, but when the overwhelming majority of violent crimes are committed by them its a relevant point
demographics dont compare? what?
how is that relevant?
what do you mean by demographics
the fact that america is a more diverse country
