They'll just do it and try and keep it secret

2018-07-02 20:18:48 UTC

yeah because the USA is still a pretty big threat

2018-07-02 20:26:35 UTC

I mean, just cause the US is a big threat doesn’t mean they won’t do it

2018-07-02 20:26:51 UTC

The US can just offer the same agreement they gave to Cuba

2018-07-02 20:27:34 UTC

If they remove the nukes, the US will never invade or attack unless they are attacked first

2018-07-02 20:27:49 UTC

Along with the lifting of sanctions

2018-07-02 20:28:27 UTC

Both of which would guarantee the regimes survival which is what they use as an excuse for the nukes to begin with

2018-07-02 20:29:20 UTC

I mean if the USA could take troops off of their border and stop conducting military drills right next to them then maybe they'd stop feeling threatened

2018-07-02 20:29:47 UTC

Didn’t they already agree to stop the drills during the meetings

2018-07-02 20:30:00 UTC

that's why the singapore summit was postponed though

2018-07-02 20:30:18 UTC

It wasn’t postponed..

2018-07-02 20:30:29 UTC

Who told you it was postponed?

2018-07-02 20:30:36 UTC

didn't kim jong un threaten to cancel over the drills?

2018-07-02 20:31:02 UTC

oh shit it was cancelled and then reopened

2018-07-02 20:31:08 UTC

Ye

2018-07-02 20:31:13 UTC

Same date and everything

2018-07-02 20:34:18 UTC

So...?

2018-07-02 20:34:31 UTC

Now why wouldn’t they agree to denuclearize?

2018-07-02 20:34:44 UTC

It’s clearly brought more harm than good

2018-07-02 20:34:51 UTC

Even China isn’t happy with them

2018-07-02 20:40:07 UTC

And removing the program would allow the government to spend more money on their people

2018-07-02 20:51:51 UTC

Wouldn’t you agree that’s a good thing?

2018-07-02 21:14:10 UTC

Yeah but it also means that they're insecure

2018-07-02 21:14:14 UTC

Security is their primary concern

2018-07-02 21:16:43 UTC

Right, I’m not saying it isn’t. But if they get the same promise from the US that it gave to Cuba during the Cuban Missile Crisis, that the US will not invade or attempt a regime change unless it is responding defensively to direct hostile action, then what would cause them to feel insecure? Having the program they have now only antagonizes China which is their closest ally.

2018-07-02 21:17:03 UTC

US promises are worth nothing tho

2018-07-02 21:17:22 UTC

Even when the US has kept its word in the Cuban example, even after the collapse of the USSR

2018-07-02 21:17:43 UTC

It hasn't lol

2018-07-02 21:17:55 UTC

It's engaged in multiple espionage activities

2018-07-02 21:18:18 UTC

Espionage is not the same as invading or attempting a regime change

2018-07-02 21:18:19 UTC

additionally the way that it's engaged with Russia, Iran, Iraq and Syria indicates that they're not trustworthy

2018-07-02 21:18:32 UTC

It's attempting regime change

2018-07-02 21:18:46 UTC

Build a base of opposition, arm them, train them

2018-07-02 21:19:13 UTC

What government is in charge of the Cuban island?

2018-07-02 21:19:30 UTC

Communist party of Cuba

2018-07-02 21:20:19 UTC

As guaranteed by the US in the treaty made

2018-07-02 21:20:35 UTC

no, they've been trying to change that forever

2018-07-02 21:20:57 UTC

Where was their word broken? Espionage? The same way they Cubans have infiltrated the US and sold hundreds of state secrets on the black market?

2018-07-02 21:21:22 UTC

They've been moving into a position to change the government, it sorta indicates that they don't give a shit about it

2018-07-02 21:21:30 UTC

If you’re going to use espionage as an example of breaking the deal, then Cuba is just as guilty

2018-07-02 21:21:43 UTC

yeah because you're dealing with the US lol
