One more word about bad looking cities. In case with Russian cities It's all thanks to corruption and incompetent officials. Most of our new infrastructure looks like shit in terms of architecture. For example, they don't mind building some skyscrapers in historical centers of the cities where most of XIXth century architecture is present. Of course it will ruin the city.
