they were kinda shitty though
or at least I'm extrapolating by that one I saw, maybe other were better
tbh lets be honest a lot of tutorials regarding programming are utter garbage but still they are appealing to people because they are kind of accessible and easy to understand
their role is to get people interested I think
CD-Action was massively overrated and I'm saying this as someone who at one point has owned over 60 issues.
it was
no doubt about that
but it kept people interested just for this reason 🤷
> a lot of tutorials regarding programming
sure, but the thing with CDaction was, that back in the day no one even had an access to the shitty ones, so every bit of knowledge was valuable; CDaction business model was basically selling internet on CDs
ahh yes
I remember they added a lot of stuff on their cds
I can't quite understand why is it even alive today
like lots of emagazines
yes, they were gold
or demo scene fanzins
>my first erotic novels
I've even done a layout for one of them 😸
actually there was a lot of erotica in those CDs if you knew where to look
wew I havent seen it
but I remember a lot of REALLY weird novellas
thank you cdaction
they were usually smuggled inbetween those zins
maybe after all you werent so overrated
like the one where 3 friends went on a vacation and they separated each other and they've met the same girl named "Klaudia" at the same time and each one of them had sex with her (with vivid descriptions) and she invited each one of them to a bonfire at the middle of the night where they've met 3 identical girls called "Klaudia" which tied them up and slowly killed each one after another hailing satan in the middle of the ceremony
or the one in a post apocalyptic setting where a dying village (some unknown cause) sent their most vital youth for an ancient medicine that would save them called by their predecessors "aspirin," giving them an old rusty gun with three bullets that was their most valuable possession. They've crossed rat infested metro tunnels (very angery) and other hurdles and when they've arrived to an ancient empty plundered storehouse they've met a guy drinking coca cola who was like a n'th generation of quartermasters who slowly and patiently explained them how the world is dying, the machines that produced the goods in the storehouse are slowly breaking and there is no one to service them or replacement parts and how the disease they were describing is how everyone will soon die in the radiation polluted and out of resources world. He said there is no "aspirin" anymore so he gave them a medicine called "placebo" instead.
and then the two last survivors of the expeditions which were obviously a girl and a guy shagged and then she died in some stupid way on their way back
tk dr
For the record I did read it but didn't find it interesting enough to comment on it.
