2018-08-25 20:41:16 UTC

lolo

2018-08-25 20:41:27 UTC

polish is very hard for native english speakers regarding its phonetics

2018-08-25 20:42:29 UTC

we frequently use complex groups of consonants and sounds that you may find exotic

2018-08-25 20:53:02 UTC

Gib example

2018-08-25 20:55:57 UTC

w strzebrzeszynie chrząszcz brzmi w trzcinie

2018-08-25 20:56:08 UTC

no tbh phonetics aren't really a problem

2018-08-25 20:56:42 UTC

you might find them weird but you pronounce almost 100% of words just as you read them

2018-08-25 20:57:04 UTC

bloated gramatics is the problem

2018-08-25 21:09:33 UTC

no, the pronunciation is

2018-08-25 21:10:28 UTC

grammar in general utilizes familiar formats, as polish is an indo-european language like english

2018-08-25 21:10:40 UTC

however the cases will certainly be a peoblem

2018-08-25 21:11:50 UTC

but i'm yet to see a foreigner who can speak polish with a pronunciation that can match that of a native speaker

2018-08-25 21:13:45 UTC

even when listening to specialists who have studied polish language for years i can still clearly see that it's not their native language

2018-08-25 21:17:19 UTC

and i'm saying that they can't pronounce the words like us, in the early stages of learning you will have to learn just how to say many sounds that are new to you in the first place

2018-08-25 21:38:08 UTC

what does huhu mean?

2018-08-25 21:43:20 UTC

nothing in polish

2018-08-25 22:02:52 UTC

you can be gay in a more classy way if you know polish

2018-08-25 22:34:15 UTC

>but i'm yet to see a foreigner who can speak polish with a pronunciation that can match that of a native speaker
no one cares, you can't speak English with native pronounciation and accent either

2018-08-25 22:35:08 UTC

Polish pronounciation isn't that hard, there are no special snowflake sounds, it's just there are blocks of consonants

2018-08-25 22:39:52 UTC

I've got rid of my accent
so when People hear me speak in English they think I'm from the US

2018-08-25 23:06:29 UTC

this, you're wrong anon

2018-08-25 23:06:52 UTC

it's relatively easy to get rid of your accent in english

2018-08-25 23:07:26 UTC

but i've never seen anyone who managed to do it in polish

2018-08-25 23:08:13 UTC

also there are many sounds that can be described as "special snowflake sounds", like ś, ć, ź or dź

2018-08-25 23:27:10 UTC

everyone thinks english is the easiest thing on earth because its the primary language of the world, everyone is heavily exposed to it

2018-08-25 23:28:32 UTC

>it's relatively easy to get rid of your accent in english
then get rid of it and show me your results : )

2018-08-25 23:29:59 UTC

>but i've never seen anyone who managed to do it in polish
how many people who were learning polish you've seen in total

2018-08-25 23:30:37 UTC

I might point to pajeets and others speaking abhorrent english living in an anglo country for decades too

2018-08-25 23:31:13 UTC

but anyway, Polish pronunciation isn't that much of a problem, the real hell is the grammar

2018-08-25 23:32:09 UTC

it might appear stupidly complicated

2018-08-25 23:32:29 UTC

but tbh I have no slightest idea about Arabic grammar so 🤷

2018-08-26 02:09:33 UTC

Arabic Grammar is the worst of the worst.
no matter how hard and stupid Polish Grammar is, it would never reach the same level as Arabic Grammar

niggowie

2018-08-26 05:51:16 UTC

english easy because there isnt as much conjugation

2018-08-26 05:51:54 UTC

less female/male forms

2018-08-26 10:07:15 UTC

>I cant think of a valid reason to learn polish
I can. Wife.

2018-08-26 10:11:54 UTC

>no one cares, you can't speak English with native pronounciation and accent either
yes you can, but it's not worth the effort
especially because there is this thing, where people (and it's an universal thing, not just polish, English, etc) prefer when you're distinguishable as a foreigner from native people. Even when they accept you and the society in mind isn't xenophobic in general.

2018-08-26 10:13:37 UTC

>everyone thinks english is the easiest thing on earth because its the primary language of the world, everyone is heavily exposed to it
I agree. English isn't as easy as it looks. It's just that everyone can (or more like, has to) practice it everyday.
