So if you want to get a job, it's always self education
This is mostly correct
I've had very helpful teachers but in the end, I'm the one that teaches everything to myself
here i hear that yes people always complain about hur durr they dont the job stuff but people after CS get jobs automatically after the studies or on the 4-5th year anyway
>yours lmao
yes, it is horrible
first of all unis arent supposed to teach you job
Unless you study to be a doctor <:thonking:318673885497262091>
its about intellectual pursuit first and foremost(yeah you can cringe but this is how it is just think about your professors they usually are obsessed)
yeah
doctor, architect, lawyer
these are kind of exceptions
Law isn't about the job in the most part either
They teach you literally every field but you have to pick your specialisation
My uni didn't teach me anything, I fucked up when I applied to it, we had IT stuff only for 2 years and the only thing they tautgh us were some OOP basics on C#. We even wrote one app which did nothing useful. That's it.
what do you study gokay
Political Science and International Relations
Then we had a lot of maths. I must admit, those were a good courses with a fine professors, but they were mostly useless.
@Mastisæg where is that uni?
@Deleted User in a shithole. So I mustn't really complain.
No name of the uni, because it's doxxing much.
i can tell you the uni i studied biology on : ^)
do you guys want me to doxx myself? UwU
Same, it was absolutely pointless
no you attention whore
Why the fuck do I need to learn about differentials and integrals?
oh god you have
math on political studies??!?
To do machine learning later.
Yeah, in the first year
Two ofthem
Math 1 and Math 2
basically no math in machine learning
But in political studies lol that's funny
I failed both of them in the first year and passed the next year
If it wasn't for those Fs, my GPA would be above 3.5
Now it's 3
Absolutely rarted
theres linear algebra and probability in ML, not analysis, anyway its not a math heavy field there is no math theory yet although there have been some developments recently
ML for now is guessing
