honestly mental health needs more visiblity

I have a lot of ppl almost introduce themselves with their diagnosis

it points out what capitalism does to people

I was born with asthma

shit is caused by pollution

in some cases

mental ilness in some ways is a consequence of the system as well

no the DSM just turns it into a personal identity marker and disengages it as a societal issue

I've worked with and am dating a mental health advocate

so I am biased here

my fathers a psych my mum a psych nurse and i dated a girl who had severe ptsd

and was in a psych ward for a bit

I would say the issue with how identinty politics is used is it isued to disengage people from societal issues

but i can totally be used to engage them

shit like the black panthers had strong socialist leanings
