@Magnus Maxus The SDF is not present at all in damasus, and that's because assad would officially declare war against them if they even tried to push past dier ez zor.

There may be a few small skirmishes, however, no nation's military is actively fighting.

And I think that 2/3 of the ranks of the SDF would break off back into ISIS, because that's what the majority of their fighting force is, ISIS members who just "fight" for the SDF, because they give them protection and nullify their past.

So ISIS has the movement, their leader, and their beliefs thriving in the middle east still, the only thing they are missing is support and supplies from a significant country.

And with israel declaring that they would now support all anti-assad forces, it really is suspicious that ISIS have recently become much more lethal in their attacks, and are managing to reclaim territory not just in syria, but in iraq as well.

Fighting is a direct reflection of militaries not getting along.

The more transparent and open the militaries are, the more protection they can provide innocent people.
