Disease isn't their failure. Hunger is caused by lack of work and/or money in most places. Terrorism exists out of extremism not because of the government.

If the military does their duty and takes down corrupt officials and defense contractors, every starving and sick person could be helped.

Even without the wars, that's not stopping corrupt contractors and officials from getting and dumping money into the war machine.
