That helps the poor by socializing the cost

2018-03-10 20:26:01 UTC

Of healthcare

2018-03-10 20:26:03 UTC

That also benefits the wealthy.

2018-03-10 20:26:15 UTC

Ok, but that doesnt contradict my point

2018-03-10 20:26:20 UTC

The point is it helps the poor

2018-03-10 20:26:24 UTC

I never said it did.

2018-03-10 20:26:29 UTC

Okay

2018-03-10 20:26:51 UTC

I'm claiming that government hasn't done a single thing to solely and/or directly help the people.

2018-03-10 20:27:10 UTC

That's it.

2018-03-10 20:27:15 UTC

id say universal healthcare helps the people

2018-03-10 20:27:30 UTC

compared to a fully private healthcare system

2018-03-10 20:27:39 UTC

It did not do so solely or indirectly.

2018-03-10 20:27:44 UTC

Which only the rich would afford

2018-03-10 20:27:54 UTC

Also, I'm talking more about the American government.

2018-03-10 20:28:03 UTC

I have no clue what Canadians are doing.

2018-03-10 20:28:21 UTC

Great outlook...

2018-03-10 20:28:23 UTC

So...the rich get exclusive access to better healthcare.

2018-03-10 20:28:32 UTC

How's that for an outlook?

2018-03-10 20:28:46 UTC

Less so under universal healthcare

2018-03-10 20:28:49 UTC

Way to go Canada...

2018-03-10 20:28:59 UTC

Are we done here?

2018-03-10 20:29:02 UTC

What do you disagree with?

2018-03-10 20:29:22 UTC

I dont feel that youre honestly trying

2018-03-10 20:29:31 UTC

What should I try to do exactly?

2018-03-10 20:29:37 UTC

Take the government's corrupt side?

2018-03-10 20:30:06 UTC

If corruption is the root of all evil, government is the world's most evil tree of slavery.

2018-03-10 20:30:20 UTC

I think besides low income tax credits and universal healthcare, you will find plenty of examples where the government has helped the poor, even if it has sometimes helped some rich people.

2018-03-10 20:30:32 UTC

Again, not solely or directly.

2018-03-10 20:30:48 UTC

Decisions can be made to help all groups in society, and thats what progress entails

2018-03-10 20:30:58 UTC

Who makes those decisions?

2018-03-10 20:31:14 UTC

Depends on thw system of governance

2018-03-10 20:31:26 UTC

How can we make any form of progress if the solution to wealth inequality and rule by the wealthy are determined by the people who are the problem?

2018-03-10 20:31:35 UTC

In the US its a rep democracy, tho strongly pro corporte

2018-03-10 20:31:50 UTC

We are not a democracy.

2018-03-10 20:32:05 UTC

We are a constitutional republic.

2018-03-10 20:32:05 UTC

Well, it kind of is but not really

2018-03-10 20:32:16 UTC

The thing is

2018-03-10 20:32:29 UTC

You can vote for people who will help you

2018-03-10 20:32:38 UTC

We became corrupted and then somehow magically switched to democracy...which is actually corporate fascism in disguise.

2018-03-10 20:32:42 UTC

Its not a permanent solution, eventually the system needs to change

2018-03-10 20:32:58 UTC

But lets not pretend it doesnt result in some measure of progress
