Why do you study it if you don't like it
I didnt know what I was getting into
I couldve changed the course I guess
but the alternatives are trash as well
dont have a lot of choices at this uni
Ah ok
What do you want to do when you graduate
dont have plans
will just see what the job market has to offer and pick the option that make me want to kill my self the least
if I even have the luxury of choice
Lol I know that feel
I'm in a similar boat
I study economics and philosophy and I'm in my last semester rn
I'm aiming to just be a generic deskcuck for some economic/financial institution
I'm lucky in that my dad knows a lot of people and he told me he'd find me a job
I hope to find a way during my coming wagie years to break out completely and live as an urban hermit
So I'm just going to take whatever he can find for me that doesn't make me want to hang myself
ye my dad ha s a lot of connections too
and his own company
:D
but I dont really want to work for him
Oh that's based
So he's petit bourg
ya
Ah okay, nothing wrong with that
What kind of work does his company do
security
for construction sites and events and the like
Oh cool
My dad is in the construction industry
He's an engineer
But I was too much of a brainlet in math to do engineering
So I just did something that was writing intensive since I'm good at writing
With the aim of just finding a generic deskcuck position and working my way up
i probably wouldve gotten into philosophy if I didnt miss the deadline
but now I can do it as a hobby which is nice
Yeah all the memes aside it's actually a pretty decent major
In burgerland at least philosophy majors have the highest average earnings of any humanities major
Lots of companies hire people with humanities degrees as much as people meme about them
Add in the econ and connections and I'm pretty hopeful about landing a decent job
