wait

2018-03-26 20:58:37 UTC

Without precedence, you have anarchy.

2018-03-26 20:58:42 UTC

so you said it evolves because of it

2018-03-26 20:58:54 UTC

but it also stabilizes evolution

2018-03-26 20:58:55 UTC

so

2018-03-26 20:58:57 UTC

what is it

2018-03-26 20:59:00 UTC

Both.

2018-03-26 20:59:14 UTC

@fannybandit No precedence can be set at any point.

2018-03-26 20:59:22 UTC

but it just so happens

2018-03-26 20:59:23 UTC

this one

2018-03-26 20:59:25 UTC

is 300 years

2018-03-26 20:59:26 UTC

old

2018-03-26 20:59:26 UTC

Stability of evolution, in itself, allows us to evolve.

2018-03-26 20:59:37 UTC

stability of evolution is an oxymoron

2018-03-26 20:59:45 UTC

How so?

2018-03-26 21:00:00 UTC

Without stability, we don't evolve.

2018-03-26 21:00:09 UTC

ah the french revolution

2018-03-26 21:00:11 UTC

when all was stable

2018-03-26 21:00:20 UTC

They didn't have rule of law.

2018-03-26 21:00:30 UTC

wtf

2018-03-26 21:00:38 UTC

@fannybandit The American Constitution was put together by a group of elitist, white males living in the 18th century. They were influenced by the "enlightenment" thinking of that time. They had no conception of what kind of world we would be living in today in the 21st century. How could they possibly have written something that would still make any practical sense?

2018-03-26 21:00:51 UTC

You're comparing a corrupt monarchy that starved it's people to a modernized constitutional republic.

2018-03-26 21:01:13 UTC

@When Things Aren't Right Go Left Those "elitists" put their lives on the line to overthrow a tyrannical monarchy.

2018-03-26 21:01:29 UTC

You're comparing a law made in a society 300 years ago to one now.

2018-03-26 21:01:34 UTC

What of it.

2018-03-26 21:01:41 UTC

It's the same society...the same nation as well.

2018-03-26 21:01:47 UTC

Different society.

2018-03-26 21:01:54 UTC

Under the same law, it is the same.

2018-03-26 21:02:06 UTC

No, the law has changed as well as the constitution since then,

2018-03-26 21:02:09 UTC

It's merely modernized.

2018-03-26 21:02:11 UTC

so not the same.

2018-03-26 21:02:15 UTC

@fannybandit They owned slaves and you believe they care about freedom?

2018-03-26 21:02:21 UTC

The law was enhanced, not changed.

2018-03-26 21:02:31 UTC

No it was changed.

2018-03-26 21:02:40 UTC

@When Things Aren't Right Go Left "All men are created equal".

2018-03-26 21:02:47 UTC

Wow for an American you sure don't know a lot about American and world politics.

2018-03-26 21:02:49 UTC

"We the People".

2018-03-26 21:02:59 UTC

@fannybandit Are you joking?

2018-03-26 21:03:05 UTC

The constitution is against slavery, however, owning slaves at the time was the normal thing to do.

2018-03-26 21:03:40 UTC

Anyone with wealth owned slaves...which quickly ended around a similar time-frame.

2018-03-26 21:03:47 UTC

Less than 50 years to be exact.
