My car is mainly geared for work, which usually includes my gear and stuff for my job. First aid, emergency supplies, etc etc. But I don't stock it for some SHTF nonsense.

I'm a fan of the life boat rations for food in my truck. It is resilient to heat and stays good for a long time. So you can just leave it and forget it

You can get MREs off amazon pretty cheap. I have a couple of cases, mainly just cause I kinda like them. Love me some BBQ rib MRE.

MREs actually dont last as long and can spoil if left in a hot car in the summer
