Stream light TLR7. Which I was real happy with til they released the new model with a better switch that doesn’t have a retrofit kit

I was looking at lights a while ago for my G19 and was looking for good lights with holster options.

Safariland has a few that fit it and most of the kydex IWB brands will have one that covers it

I ended up going with an inforce cause I don't plan on using it much and the light/holster option only cost me about $130

That’s about what i paid. But the safariland is gonna tac on another 165 for me. My light was right under 100 and the holster was about 55

I like inforce but I don’t trust a polymer weapon light.

Yeah I ordered the Safariland 3084 MTH. Which cost me $165. but a the low rider version was like $350.

Yeah I am debating going back to my chest rig for my pistol holster or stick with the thigh holster.

Safariland also made their shit to order. So when I worked at a shop selling them. We usually had a 60-90 day wait until we could restock them.

I definitely want a high thigh rig. I had one for my XD but I sold it for a glock because part availability should SHTF

I tend to run mine about standard/low, because I have really long arms.

I think Safari just makes their leathers to order. Surely they don't make the polymer prefabs to order. It makes more sense to mass produce them for the standard makes and models.

U gotta figure they offer holsters for like 500+ pistols and revolvers with multiple sight and probably 30 light options

I was agreeing with what Steve mentioned after, that they had to mix and match so with that limited run they would have to make to order and it was save on costs.

@MrBlack it was odd too. Like one of the most common duty weapons took that long. Glock 22 and glock 17 right hand with the ALS system was terrible to try to get

But the holsters are worth the money

Oh yeah. Totally worth it but yeah I would think they have some kind of inventory on the most common makes/models.

That was the thing with the 3084 MTH, is that the holster part that holds the gun is modeled for the common model of gun, but the part that covers the light is adjustable for any light type.

My manager and I had the same conversation. We would have a department order like 12 of them and have to make them wait.

LOL a large part of that article is flawed and falls short of quite a few facts.

My scare with wearing AR500 is getting popped with a 7mm mag or something that is beating the velocity of the plate. It mentioned that the plates were being defeated by a 16” barrel with 55grain. I ordered a set of the ar500s 10x12 3+ curved plates around 4 years ago. During my wait there was a video of a guy shooting a Ar500 plate of the same make, if I’m not mistaken on the make. He was using either a 16” or a 20” with 55 grain rounds. It penetrated. I did call the company where a lady answered and said that he was using armor piercing rounds or a special barrel. I obviously can’t prove the information. But the whole idea of not having Nij plates is what bothered me. I’m not saying the plates haven’t improved since then. Now I just worry about the weight and spalling

Look at it this way. If u got ceramic ur set. If u got steel ur ok. If u got nothing ur taking a bullet either way.

I still prefer ceramics to steel. I like weight and they are still multi hit rates

If ur buying armor at this point get ceramic. If u like I have had plates for years when ceramic was stupid expensive upgrade if u can
