Advice from my 8404 days on building a real, actionable militia med kit: roller gauze, saran wrap, needle thoracentesis devices, petroleum jelly, aspirin for the boomers and most importantly a plan on getting them to a hospital ASAP. This isnt Afghanistan there is a hospital in every city.
