Off topic but I remember that's when the NFA passed

2019-12-27 01:09:18 UTC

The first great depression

2019-12-27 01:09:49 UTC

Floods and so on. Gonna look awfully dumb mag dumping into flood water because you live in a potential flood zone but never thought of sand bags or other material to help prevent the water from getting to your house

2019-12-27 01:10:31 UTC

That’s the big divide between the preppers and boogbois

2019-12-27 01:10:36 UTC

People actually buy houses and land in flood zones lol

2019-12-27 01:10:41 UTC

lol

2019-12-27 01:10:58 UTC

We had a flood last year in an area that had never flooded

2019-12-27 01:11:19 UTC

Where I live there's never been a flood but in the rural part of the state floods do happen

2019-12-27 01:11:45 UTC

Depends on terrain, soil composition

2019-12-27 01:11:55 UTC

Trees and so on.

2019-12-27 01:12:22 UTC

If you have soil erosion and more clay towards the top guess what?

2019-12-27 01:12:46 UTC

Lots of variables.

2019-12-27 01:12:58 UTC

And they change over time

2019-12-27 01:13:38 UTC

So what was a flood zone 5 years ago may not actually even flood anymore. And what isn’t may very well

2019-12-27 01:15:28 UTC

@everyone if you haven’t listed your skill set in <#659425213041082368> please do so now so I can start assigning people roles based on what they can do. Whether it’s a medic or combat tactics, etc etc so we are more organized.

2019-12-27 01:16:03 UTC

I uh don't really have any skills at the moment

2019-12-27 01:17:25 UTC

Know any trade?

2019-12-27 01:19:17 UTC

Not currently

2019-12-27 01:19:31 UTC

I'm mostly just a civilian right now

2019-12-27 01:19:33 UTC

But

2019-12-27 01:19:42 UTC

I intend to learn skills

2019-12-27 01:22:21 UTC

I like metal working personally

2019-12-27 01:22:38 UTC

I also like using hand tools over powered.

2019-12-27 01:25:08 UTC

Not having to worry about electricity right?

2019-12-27 01:25:20 UTC

Exactly.

2019-12-27 01:25:45 UTC

Things also generally turn out a little better with traditional hand tools. You can get the fit and finish of stuff just right

2019-12-27 01:29:34 UTC

I recently purchased a milling machine off amazon

2019-12-27 01:29:50 UTC

It works surprisingly well for being only around 700 bucks

2019-12-27 01:29:56 UTC

And made in China

2019-12-27 01:30:06 UTC

Think I see why you did

2019-12-27 01:30:13 UTC

Not as good as the stuff at work

2019-12-27 01:30:39 UTC

But that’s also 20x the cost 😂

2019-12-27 01:31:09 UTC

Interesting. I like things that come in three. 3 knives, three drinks, and three holes

2019-12-27 01:31:24 UTC

Lmao

2019-12-27 01:31:39 UTC

lol 3 holes

2019-12-27 01:32:05 UTC

I’ve done an 80 on it, but I restore antiques and often times it’s easier to mill a part then find a replacement

2019-12-27 01:33:00 UTC

Have a lathe for turning bolts and such , if you look around you can find some good deals and TONS of learning material on YouTube

2019-12-27 01:38:27 UTC

I got a few incomplete lowers direcfly from the FN factory lol

2019-12-27 01:38:53 UTC

lol for what rifles?

2019-12-27 01:39:47 UTC

Yeah
