That and the issues here are a bit more complex than a simple claim to irony, but I am too tired to dig into that can of worms.
Yeah
Still pretty ironic as hell though lol
@Fartfignewton I think there is some truth to that because they do seem to think that if someone has a gun they'll just shoot someone for no reason
Just because they can
Yeah if I start hearing that argument from someone I start thinking I'm talking with a not completely stable person.
Well you can't entirely fault that stance given the constant reports in the news of road rage and the like resulting in idiots pulling guns on people for stupid reasons making everyone look bad.
Goes back to that self policing thing we were talking about yesterday.
True
But what could we do about it to stop them from doing it? We'll always have dumb people who pull guns out like that, and it's not like we can control their actions
I get that we can police ourselves
But how can we police them?
The best way is through education. Though one could argue for social engineering through public shaming and exclusion like many Asian countries do.
I see
What do you guys think of the SIG P320/M17/M18 pistol?
Better than glock?
dont drop it
lol
Didn't they fix the drop fire issue though?
i think so but it is a easy blow to make people on the internet laugh
Do people still bitch about the bore axis like the other SIG pistols?
I haven't gotten too much time on the M17. Work has got me packing the new gen 5 G19.
Part of me wants the M17 from a collector's perspective
Due to it being a service pistol
Because to be honest I never had much interest in the P320 at first until it became adopted lol
I know the glock fanboys are shaking their fists and foaming at the mouth for not adopting the glock
idk would any of you say the P320 was the better choice in the end?
In terms of what the military wanted, yes. In terms of glock vs 320, yes. In terms of price...the sig I think was more expensive.
Was the SIG really more expensive? I thought SIG underbid their contract while glock's contract was more expensive
Which influenced the military's decision
Yes and no. The Military will get the sig at a lower price per gun than in the civilian market. And Glock's contract bids are more expensive than the guns are actually worth because of Glocks ego. But the cost of the Sig contract I believe will cost them more than the Glock contract would have, but they are getting a better gun out of it.
I guess glock has been surpassed in terms of "perfection" lol
LOL the glock never has nor ever will be perfect.
Yeah try telling the glocktards that lol
I like glocks
Glocks are good pistols but I get annoyed when the glocktards act like they're the only pistols worth owning
They're like the Jehovah's witnesses of guns
They are not bad I like my g19, its not gonna replace my 92f as my favorite gun, but its not the Jesus Christ of firearms.
I didnt mind the M11s we flew with either. But I'd rather have had a G19 I think.
the glock is like the ar 15 in my eyes
it is a every man gun that works well but there are guns that specialize in areas and lack i others
